NEW MOON CEREMONY
THE POWER OF MANIFESTING YOUR WISHES
“When
humans participate in ceremony, they enter a sacred space. Everything outside
of that space shrivels in importance. Time takes on a different dimension.
Emotions flow more freely. The bodies of the participants become filled with the
energy of life; and this energy reaches out and blesses the creation around
them. All is made new; everything becomes sacred.”
Sun Bear
author of Dancing with the Wheel.
The New Moon is a time when ritual can effectively call into play the forces
of the waxing moon to help
"grow" (manifest) your wishes. Through conscious
effort, focusing attention and working with the forces of nature your wishes are
more likely to come into manifestation. Be careful what you wish and how
you wish, for it for this process really does create. The New Moon Ceremony is a ritual designed to give conscious energy
to creating what we want in our lives while working with the forces of nature.
Not associated with any religion, it seeks to be spiritual rather than
religious. If weather allows, we’ll be in the Medicine Wheel outside, otherwise
we’ll use a mesa inside (South American version) for form and an eclectic
approach to the ceremony. If you can't join us, do a ceremony of your own.
Possible
things to bring: musical instruments (acoustical drums percussion). blanket if
you wish to sit on the floor, a draft of your wishes, pen, paper, desire,
expectation and something to contribute to food.
You
can ask for whatever you want, areas that are especially
centered in the current new moon sign -- see Jan Spiller's book, New Moon
Astrology and see below for examples of some of the signs. 10
wishes unless this is your Granddaddy period (up to 40 wishes) a very potent
time which occurs when your sun transits your 11th house. see
Jan Spiller, New Moon Astrology, ( a very useful resource, but I
recommend you modify her suggestions to be positively worded and in the present
rather than the "I want/need" attitude I am healthy rather than
I wish to bring more health into my life).
The
ceremony usually runs an hour to two hours depending upon on the group. We will give
time for you to finish working on your wishes, but it’s time saving if you bring
a draft of your wishes.
May you manifest well, I really look forward to seeing
you.
